London's bike share scheme escapes budget cuts
London's bike hire scheme and their bicycle super highways scheme has been spared from the budget cuts being implemented in the UK according to Bikeradar.com. The reason for not cutting the programs is that cycling investment gives good value for money with a 3-fold return on every pound spent - thanks to a large degree to the health benefits.
